Sexual Harrassment

Sexual Harassment occurs when a submission to sexual conduct is made a term of employment and/or a submission to or rejection of sexual conduct is the basis for employment decisions.

Sexual Harassment also occurs when an employee is subjected to conduct because of his/her sex creating an environment in which the employee believes the terms of his/her employment have been altered.

Types of sexual harassment include:

  • Unwelcome touching
  • Pornographic pictures
  • Sexual innuendoes
  • Sexual jokes/propositions
  • Gestures/sounds/whistling/catcalls
  • Suggestive comments
  • Cartoons/posters
  • Explicit/Offensive Emails
